I didn't know what mental health was until I was going through my own mental health crisis.
It was six years ago, I was making great money at a successful company, and hitting the gym every morning by 5 AM. I felt like I had everything under control.
Looking back, my sense of purpose was too closely tied to my performance at work - when work was going well, I was energized, funny, and outgoing. But when a deal didn't close because of something that was out of my control, I would talk negatively to myself which became extremely unhealthy.
You see, I created this app because I needed it for myself. I did formal therapy for a year, but never found anyone that I could relate to. I knew that there had to be a better way to help people like me who were struggling with their mental health.
That's where Join Joyfully comes in. We've got a team of Uplifters from all different backgrounds, so you can find someone who really gets you. And our app gives you words of encouragement whenever you need them. It's like having a personal cheerleader in your pocket.
Now, I know you might be skeptical. "Words of encouragement? That's not going to solve my problems." And you're right. It's not a magic cure-all. But sometimes, all you need is a little push in the right direction. Sometimes, all you need is someone to tell you that they've been in your shoes before, and that you can keep going.
And that's what Join Joyfully is all about. We're not here to replace therapy. We're here to supplement it. We're here to be a support system for those who need it. We're here to remind you that you're not alone.
So if you're struggling with your mental health, don't be afraid to reach out. Whether it's to Join Joyfully or to someone else, there's always someone who cares. And remember - you're stronger than you think.
